In my past I have been a part of high intensity fitness classes, but it's been a while. I have been sticking to a gym routine (where I worked out the muscles I liked and not much else). I started the on-ramp program at Origin Fitness after a successful Consult and Intro class. I have been going every week day morning since I've started. I've fallen in love with the motivation and dedication other athletes have at the gym. Jamie and all of the coaches are phenomenal and really encouraging to strive for more. I never thought I would be able to wake up at 4am for a 5am class, but it's possible! Different workouts everyday help me get a full body workout. I have yet to leave without being drenched in sweat. I'm really excited for my journey and have committed to the gym for 9 months. I had my doubts once upon a time, but I think it's more than fair to say that Origin Fitness is awesome!!! I wish I could give this 10 stars.

If you are looking for a friendly gym with knowledgeable and professional staff, Origin Fitness is the place to be. I joined in the middle of December and I started by going 3 days a week. I am currently attending 5 days a week and I love it. Everyone is so friendly and the staff is very patient. The staff works with you to adjust the exercises to fit your abilities. Everyone in the class focuses on their own workout and I never feel like anyone is judging whether or not I am doing a movement good enough. The owner, Jamie, always answers any questions that I have and is very encouraging. I highly recommend Origin Fitness!

I joined Origin Fitness on Veteran's Day 2017. In the weeks since then, I've seen significant improvements in my physical abilities. For example: My shoulder mobility has improved dramatically. In the first week I struggled to do pass-throughs without breaking form (specifically by bending my right arm to accommodate a tight right shoulder). I can now do them without breaking form, and more importantly without discomfort in the right shoulder! In my introductory consultation, I struggled to do 10 walking lunges. This morning's workout called for 60, which I completed within minutes. Similarly, in my initial consultation I struggled mightily to do 10 air squats unbroken. One of the recent workouts called for KB Goblet Squats which I was able to do unbroken w/ a 44 lb KB. And......and this might be the most telling.....my 12 year old daughter observed that as I've gotten a little leaner, the dimples in my cheeks are a little more prominent. Imagine that -- a compliment (even if inadvertent) from a pre-teen offspring!! These are the little successes and improvements that validate my decision to join. While I have a long way to go to get where I'd like to be athletically, taking the first steps through the door were the toughest. Every step, every rep after that has been toward progress!

The owner is terrific and he has assembled a great staff of trainers. They will "take you as you are" and if you will do the work, you will be transformed. CrossFit is unlike most "health clubs" or gyms. People go their to work. But don't be intimidated. I was 59 when I started and felt like I fit right in.

I have been doing CrossFit at Origin Fitness for a little over a year now, and I only have one regret—that I didn’t start sooner! I never considered myself athletic at all, and (up until now) have only ever exercised in a sporadic, “on again/off again” fashion. So, like many people, I was quite intimidated to give CrossFit a try. I’m so glad I did, because I have never felt better! Honestly, after having two kids and putting myself on the back burner for too many years, I had zero energy. Now, anytime we’re out for a hike and my 3 year old’s legs get tired, I can just carry him on my back, because CrossFit has helped me build the strength and endurance to be physically prepared for most anything life may throw at me! The workouts are very intense, but I never have to worry because the coaches are very knowledgeable and always guide me through each step. If there’s ever a movement or skill that I cannot do, the coaches are well informed on modifications that can be made, so that I can get the intended effect from the exercise. I never imagined I would be able to do pull-ups or lift really heavy stuff! Yet, here I am doing it and it’s so exciting! Finally, I love the camaraderie between us fellow athletes. It’s amazing how much harder I can work when there is a group of people right there with me, cheering me on!
